GPC

How is Graphite Petroleum Coke different from regular Petroleum Coke?

Graphite Petroleum Coke (GPC) and regular Petroleum Coke (PC) are derived from oil refining buthave different properties and uses.

GPC is produced by graphitizing PC at about 3000°C in a graphitization furnace, while PC is produced by coking residual oils at a temperature of more than 1500°C in a coker unit.
